level up

it’s never attractive to bring a boatload of tissues with you to the eliptical machine but you do what you gotta do.  i don’t know how i could possibly still be hacking up creatures but i am. oh well. 

i got to the gym after work and the pool looked crowded so i went upstairs and spent a half hour doing cardio, staring out across the bay wondering if the guy next to me could hear my music and if he would judge me for playing new order’s ‘ceremony’ on repeat for the entire duration of my session on the eliptical. 

on my way back downstairs to the locker room i peaked back into the pool and both slow lanes were empty so i changed and made my way to the lap section, passing colby who was teaching a class in the activity pool and nodding hello.  i managed 16 lengths with breaks.  this was 8 full laps. this was 400 meters.  this is practically 25% of a mile.
