Exhausted

As of 4:12 PM

Bikram: 1-1/2 hours (approx. 900 calories burned)
Breakfast: 1/2 Gala Apple, I slice whole wheat bread w/ peanut butter, 1 Grande Soy Latte, 1/2 bottle Snapple Antioxidant Water
Vinyasa Yoga 1 hour (approx. 452 calories burned)
Lunch: 1 Chocolate Chip Peanut Crunch Cliff Bar
Snuck in: 1 plain croissant, a handful of cashews and 2 multigrain crackers w/ Brie.
Water: 34 oz consumed
Calories consumed: 1,381

The week before Christmas and it hits me on Monday that I have 1 week left.

To do what?

Not much but gear up to go home. I missed Jersey last holidays for the London/Paris adventure of a lifetime. It’s been awhile. Oh Jersey, where all my hollow memories lie. A lifetime of clam diggers and mens sweaters.

I kept the Bikram up this week despite it all. I only slept in Thursday and missed class because I knew I had a long day in front of me with Chris’ holiday party. I nearly missed today’s class but good thing Blinky decided to puke on my bed or I wouldn’t have gotten up on time this morning.

Class was ok. Had the same difficulty during half moon and the balancing series. Half moon makes me want to vomit these days. Eveything just hurst. And it’s the freaking first pose of the class! Not a good way to start things off. Eveyrthing is so tight and rigid in half moon that there doesn’t seem to be room for breath so I stop breathing. Which completely defeats the purpose of yoga.

For the first time ever I lost my balance and fell out of balancing stick. How embarassing for a 10 second pose. Gah!

I made it to work and sat down. The first time I get up to pee, an hour later, my body reminds me of all the work I’ve done this week with yoga, cardio & weights. Every muscle in my being aches. I slowly limp to the toilet. It is painful.

But I went to Vinyasa at noon anyway. I started class off sorta cocky. It felt good to be doing poses I could do and do well. This, of course, all goes down the drain when we start doing balancing poses. Again with the feet cramping! By the end of class I felt empty, my limbs and my non-existant stomach muscles hurt.

I made my way to the tailors to pick up my dress that I needed to get hemmed for my sister’s wedding and when I try it on, I manage to actually zip the garment up myself. At the tailors insistance, we take in the bodice an inch since something happened this week and all of a sudden I look like I’m wearing a red chiffon sack that’s tight at the boobs and sack like everywhere else. I sit there while they take the dress back and do the alterations right there on the spot.

Apparently I’m shrinking, but damn if that scale still has not budged.

2 yoga classes today and I have yet to have a real meal. I am starving, but since it’s so late in the game (dress debacle threw me off), decided not to get a real meal since Eric and I would probably be grabbing dinner tonight. This explains the random crackers with brie, cashews and croissant. All of these were laying around the office and I chose to consume these items and not the more delectable chocolate christmas treats.

Damn this holiday…and it’s candy.
